Nuts ‘n’ Bolts
CAYR activists are committed to achieving the best outcome for these vulnerable young people. To that end we have prioritised efficiency and though we are a group that operates on consensus we are seeking to keep to the minimum hierarchy and policy debate. Should a decision be made to seek charity status we may have to formalise our structures until then the 25 or 30 activists currently working are managing quite well by focusing on our shared goals.
Finance is at the moment not an issue though occasional donations have been made for specific expenditure. At this point if any readers did feel they would like to contribute money we would suggest you make contact to discuss. If we find there are a number of people so prepared we would wish to more formally structure our finance.
On structural and operational matters please contact Wes McLachlan (the chair) or Micheal Vince (the Secretary) through our contact form.
As CAYR has no paid staff whatsoever and activists receive no expenses all administrative and related activities are carried out by volunteers. So if you are wealthy or mad or both and have the time to spare we are sure there are things you can do to assist.
